BRANDEL brings together exceptional designers to create jewellery unlike any other — distinctive pieces shaped by their vision and realised through our craftsmanship.

Our story

Modern design icons

BRANDEL was founded by Jochem Reijndorp and Iris Brandel with the ambition to create iconic jewellery – both wearable and collectible – by enabling renowned designers to create new & innovative jewellery design that reflect their design vision.

Design vision as starting point

We collaborate with leading creatives from across disciplines — from fashion and product design to graphic and spatial design — and invite them to explore jewellery. Their visual language becomes the starting point. Free, intuitive and without compromise.

Each collection is an expression of their design vision, resulting in new forms, unexpected colour combinations and modern design icons.

Formed by vision, shaped by craft

To translate these ideas into fine jewellery, BRANDEL works with master artisans at the highest level — goldsmiths, stone cutters and specialised ateliers. In close collaboration, every design is shaped and refined, often exploring new development methods to be able to realize the innovative jewellery designs.

The first collaboration: Carole Baijings

Our debut collection was created in collaboration with Dutch designer Carole Baijings, internationally renowned for her distinctive use of colour and graphic composition. For BRANDEL, she translated her signature approach into jewellery for the very first time.

She reimagined classical elements such as pearls and gemstones as contemporary forms — from the graphic elegance of Drops of Pearls to the sculptural balance of the Orbit collection and the innovative Duostone cut, where two gemstones merge into a new colour composition.

ORBIT

ORBIT is all about balance, with each piece of jewellery moving freely like a mobile sculpture. With her refined sense of colour and composition Carole Baijings created the DuoStone: Four colour dialogues of gemstones cut and joined into one harmonious Marquis

DROPS of PEARLS

In DROPS of PEARLS, Carole Baijings reinterprets the most traditional piece of jewellery: the pearl. Arranged in graphic compositions and partially dipped in coloured enamel, each pearl takes on a new identity, shifting from classical ornament to contemporary form.
